I decided to use a camera snapshot for the UV Layout then manually separate body parts to ensure the texture flows consistently across the model without imperfections.

Lighting and Render Quality

The lighting in this animation is a key element to the entire sequence due to the environment being underground.

I have made some tests using spotlights to illuminate key areas as shown bellow, although I am debating whether to use a plug in simulator for the torches or create the flickering flames in After Effects
