Lighting and Render Quality
The lighting in this animation is a key element to the entire sequence due to the environment being underground.
I have made some tests using spotlights to illuminate key areas as shown bellow, although I am debating whether to use a plug in simulator for the torches or create the flickering flames in After Effects
